Led by Seth Gomez, the band is comprised of two keyboard players, a harmonica player, guitar, drums and bass. Founded in 2019, The Chops harness the sound of new and mix with the sounds of old. Being compared to bands such as Cream, The Doors, The Yardbirds, and The Beach Boys. Utilizing their singing capabilities, The Chops are known to have amazing group harmonies. Each member writes songs and presents their own sound while melting as a whole. The Chops take inspiration from all realms of music. From Hot jazz to modern pop, The Chops make it their own. The sound is dynamic but holds true to the sounds of psychedelic pop. When all the engines are steaming, the band is able to turn a 5 minute song into a 10+ minute journey of improv.
