The Afternotes Celebrate Ten Years
Headlining Anniversary Concert
Join us for an exciting afternoon of a capella music featuring three fantastic groups. The
Afternotes will host the event celebrating 10 years of bringing contemporary harmonies to New
Hampshire’s seacoast and surrounding areas. Guests will be The New Hampshire Notables from
the University of New Hampshire in Durham, and The Heart Beats of Worcester, MA.
The Afternotes continue to bring their exciting musical offerings to audiences in the northeast.
Their sets include songs by Sia, Pink, The Bangles, Fleetwood Mac, Alice Merton, and many
more, covering a large swath of the musical landscape. Over the last decade, the group has
worked hard to expand their scope and reach different audiences through a variety of musical
genres. Every member of The Afternotes was once a member of the college a cappella group The
New Hampshire Notables (also performing) with graduation years spanning 3 decades. For many
who sing in college, graduation marks the end of the musical run. The group is a chance to keep
the music flowing. Afternotes members meet each week to sing, socialize and plan events. The
rapport that the members share is evident to audiences who feel the joy that this kind of music
evokes.
Please join us on Sunday, April 16th at the Stone Church in Newmarket, NH as we celebrate all
we’ve accomplished and move forward into the next decade with fervor.
About The New Hampshire Notables
Established in 1980, the New Hampshire Notables are the University of New Hampshires newest and coolest
a cappella group! The Notes arrange and perform music across all genres and time periods and
have dedicated over 40 years to building an expansive community of talented singers. Their
newest album, "Note To Self "released in 2022, as well as their performances at events on and
off-campus, have built them a reputable name in the New England region.
About The Heart Beats
Formed in the summer of 2022, The Heart Beats are Worcester's newest coed a cappella group.
Worcester is known as "the heart of the Commonwealth" and everyone loves a good music pun,
thus the name was born! They love singing together, but most importantly, they love being
ridiculous together at rehearsals. Their motto is "sing the song that's in your heart" because
having fun is really what it's all about.
