Session Americana and Word Barn are teaming up for a winter pop-up / band “takeover”. Keep an eye out for the members of the band, their videographer, and their recording team around Exeter in the days leading up to the show. They will be living at Word Barn to record a track for their new album here. They're also beginning to film a documentary celebrating 20 years of Session Americana.
The venue “takeover” sees the band collaborating with us to serve a special SA poke bowl, as they wrap up their stay at Word Barn with a special show.
SESSION AMERICANA is musicians’ musicians: a cast of top-shelf players, singers, and writers who tour internationally, taking their own songs, plus hundreds more from the American songbook, on the road. Whether you catch Session Americana in a rock hall or on a festival stage, you’ll be a part of the intimate, raucous scene these players built years ago at Toad, the neighborhood bar where it all began in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
