Club d'Elf has been helping audiences lose track of time for almost twenty five years with its mesmerizing synthesis of Moroccan traditional music and electronic, dubbed-out funk. Circling about bassist/composer Mike Rivard and drummer Dean Johnston, each Club d'Elf performance features a different line-up, drawn from a constellation of some of the most creative improvisers from the jazz, DJ, rock & world music scenes of Boston, NYC and beyond. The band's music draws from a startlingly wide spectrum of styles, including jazz, hip hop, electronica, avant garde, prog-rock and dub. The band's new album, 'You Never Know', offers gnawa refracted through a prism of contemporary psychedelia—Morocco turned technicolor. The record unfurls upon kaleidoscopic clouds of spiced smoke, shifting from chopped dub-jazz through trance epics that reimagine Boston as a city of bazaars. Club d'Elf pay tribute to the music and musicians who have been primary influences, with half the album being covers of gnawa, Miles Davis, Joe Zawinul, Moroccan band Nass el-Ghiwane, and Frank Zappa. The other half consists of original music inspired by Rivard's personal journey into darkness following a near death experience in the remote jungle of the Peruvian Amazon. Joining Rivard for this Stone Church show are DJ Mister Rourke, guitarist David Fiuczynski, keyboardist Amy Bellamy, and original D'Elf drummer (1998-2006) Erik Kerr.

SixFoxWhiskey: SixFoxWhiskey’s sound is different. They aren’t a jam band, they aren’t a rock band, a jazz band, a funk band, or a fusion band; but, they exist somewhere in the ethos of these genres. Reminiscent of Steely Dan, Vulfpeck, Umphrey’s McGee, and the Doobie Brothers, the band weaves through various themes, while demonstrating mindful and intentional songwriting. Ultimately, it’s this intent that their fans find interesting, and it’s their uniqueness that’s allowed them to grow significantly over the last 6 years.

Screaming Headless Torsos: brainchild of mad-scientist guitarist David “Fuze” Fiuczynski, began as an opera/punk-rock & reggae band inspired by a mix of blending Nina Hagen with the Bad Brains in Boston in the mid 1980s. The Torsos exceptionally high energy shows and colorful musicianship inspired fans, musicians and numbers of cover bands all over the world, becoming a cult phenomenon with their first CD “1995” (released on Warner-Discovery Records). The band now also incorporates various grooves, microtonal and world music elements.

The core group of the Torsos are all incredible players in their own right, who have collectively played with many of the biggest names in the pop and jazz worlds. Vocalist Extraordinaire Debo Ray and unique bassist Wes Wirth have recorded, toured and/or performed with Bobby McFerrin, King Sunny Ade, Vernon Reid (Living Color), Esperanza Spalding, Kenwood Dennard (Miles Davis, Sting), Stanley Jordan and more. An ideal show for SHT is when the audience scratches their head a bit and shakes their booty a LOT!!

Squeaky Feet: Squeaky Feet has been taking the scene by storm since they formed in late 2019. They have since shared the stage with acts such as Dopapod, Aqueous, Mungion, Marcus Rezak and have had sit-ins with Kris Myers from Umphrey’s McGee. The band’s sound blends progressive and psychedelic rock, along with funk-fusion and improvisation to create a unique and fresh sound. Expect intense angular compositions, relentless groove, triumphant solos and focused jams from Squeaky Feet.

The Chops

Through the psychedelic haze of warehouse jammage in a location dubbed "The jamspot" spawned the group The Chops. Led by Seth Gomez, the band is comprised of keys, guitar, drums and bass. The Chops harness the sound of new and mix with the sounds of old. Being compared to bands such as Cream, The Doors, The Yardbirds, and The Beach Boys. Each member writes songs and presents their own sound while melting as a whole. The Chops take inspiration from all realms of music. From Hot jazz to modern pop, The Chops make it their own. The sound is dynamic but holds true to the sounds of psychedelic pop. When all the engines are steaming, the band is able to turn a 5 minute song into a 20+ minute journey of improv. In The Chops no one member is more important than the other, this is most apparent when the band is improvising. The crowd is also a huge part of the bands experience. With a tight nit family, The Chops are able to provide an energy that is exclusive. A welcoming environment and a night of dancing is what you can expect.

The Chops are on the rise with a catalog of originals and will be playing in Boston regularly. We never shy away from sharing the stage with other musicians as well such as Banjo, Saw, Trumpet, Sax, Fiddle, Drummers, Guitarist, vocalist and more.
