Join us at WSCA’s Button Factory Stage for an incredible night of Americana and acoustic roots music performed with a punk edge. Boston-area musicians Lenny Lashley and Jesse Ahern present a must-see show at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday January 23.
Lenny Lashley, known internationally for his music with Lenny Lashley’s Gang of One, Darkbuster, Street Dogs, and Lenny and the Piss Poor Boys, will perform stripped-down versions of his iconic songs, including selections from his latest release “All Are Welcome” on Pirates Press Records. Lenny Lashley has been a fixture in our region for 25 years, playing punk rock, rock and roll, ska, traditional country western, and American roots music, always featuring his distinctive vocal delivery.
Jesse Ahern is a singer-songwriter that has been making waves in New England and beyond for more than 15 years. Jesse writes and performs songs that document stories of the working and middle class: tales of rugged reality, hardships, and resolve. Heartfelt songs of despair, hope, and protest sung with a grit and determination. Jesse Ahern has released numerous recordings, including his latest “My Truth and My Truth Only”. He is currently recording new material for release in 2020 and will be supporting the Dropkick Murphys on their Spring tour.
Lenny Lashley and Jesse Ahern have been guests on WSCA’s The Kitchen Sink. We are thrilled to welcome them back to Portsmouth for a public concert on the Button Factory Stage!
