The Jonny Peiffer Organ Quartet plays compositions originally crafted for local semijazz groups Sojoy and Weird Turn Pro, along with exploring early gospel music, new standards, and more. Featuring Jonny Peiffer on drums, Mike Effenberger on Hammond B3 organ, central Maine visionary guitarist Peter Herman, who has been aptly described as the stylistic progeny of guitar legend Lenny Breau and Duncan Hardy on alto sax who has been a member of Klaxton’s OurBigBand and leads groups of his own in the Portland, ME area.
