Jamie Saft Trio has collaborated with masters of music like Iggy Pop, Bad Brains, Roswell Rudd, Anohni, and Mike Patton and has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Village Vanguard, The Town Hall, and at festivals all over the world. Jamie Saft Trio will feature a special selection of music from the Great American Songbook for this evening at The Dance Hall including compositions by Jimi Hendrix, Marvin Gaye, Bob Dylan, John and Alice Coltrane, Curtis Mayfield, The Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Michael Jackson and beyond.

"Saft has built a reputation over the past 30 years for being one of the most versatile and skilled keyboardists in jazz and avant-garde music, playing with the best musicians in those genres as well as teaming with rockers Iggy Pop, Bad Brains and the B-52s, among many others.” -Ray Routhier, Portland Press Herald, Maine

"We should all be as comfortable in our own skin as Jamie Saft."

-Doug Collette, All About Jazz

“As with most of Jamie Saft’s records, the interweaving of originals and covers on You Don’t Know The Life is a mark of ingenious artistry at work. The multi-instrumentalist/composer and his simpatico compatriots create music that runs a remarkably broad gamut of emotions. And in its roughly forty-five-minute arc of feeling, a listener can end up equally drained and enlivened by this trio’s own journey through the heart and soul (and beyond).” -Glide Magazine – THE Glide Jazz 20 - Our Top 20 Jazz Releases For 2019

"Saft is left to build the rest of the atmosphere, coming off as the MVP: his keyboards serve as groove builders, soloists, texture-makers, and disruptors.” -Will Layman, Pop Matters.

Jamie Saft is a virtuoso pianist, keyboardist, producer, and composer originally from New York now living in Maine. His stylistic versatility, multi-instrumentalist capabilities, and production skills have been featured with Iggy Pop, Beastie Boys, Bad Brains, The B-52’s, Mike Patton, John Zorn, John Adams, Laurie Anderson, Donovan, Elysian Fields, and Anohni. Saft leads a number of ensembles including New Zion Trio, Jamie Saft Trio, and Jamie Saft Quartet. Saft has collaborated with legends of music including Wadada Leo Smith, Roswell Rudd, Marshall Allen, Danny Ray Thompson, Dave Liebman, Joe Morris, Hamid Drake, Bobby Previte, Steve Swallow, Darryl Jenifer, Cyro Baptista, Joe McPhee, Jerry Granelli, Merzbow, Mike Patton, HR Human Rights, Chuck Hammer, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Adam Yauch, Lard Dog and the Band of Shy, Tony Garnier, Mike Clark, Marshall Crenshaw, Mats Gustafsson, Youn Sun-Nah, and many more.
