Event Details

Born near the Atlantic shores of the Maine/New Hampshire Seacoast, Idlewild was formed in celebration of and to pay tribute to American southern rock powerhouse, The Allman Brothers Band.

Idlewild: A Celebration Of The Allman Brothers came together for the first time in the Fall of 2019 on a small dairy farm in Southern Maine. At that time they were not quite the robust squad seen above, but just four old friends with some Allman riff’s and an idea.

The following months would see Idlewild grow to a seven-piece powerhouse, fueled by searing slide-guitar licks and a desired mastery of The Allman Brothers complex musical arrangements.

The band features a storied cast of Seacoast-area musicians who have been entertaining audiences throughout The Northeast, and beyond for the better part of the last two decades.

The Idlewild septet is comprised of Andrew Edmondson (Maganahan’s Revival, Tombstone, String Board Theory, Bodhi), and Bobby O’Neill (Sans Souci: Tribute to Jerry Garcia Band) sharing the ABB’s signature duel-lead guitar duties, Max Chase (Sans Souci: Tribute to Jerry Garcia Band, Amulus, Superfrog, Liz Frame) on Hammond Organ & piano, Joe Plante (Blue Fungus Brew, formerly The Brew) on bass, Adam Vinciguerra (Superfrog, Amulus, Roots Rhythm & Dub, El Malo) on auxiliary percussion, and sharing duel drumming duties are Nick Baldoumas (Sans Souci: Tribute to Jerry Garcia Band, Acutonic, SugarLeaf), and Brandon Hill (Maganahan’s Revival, Merrimack Delta Dub Set). Vocal responsibilities are shared between Max, Joe, and Adam.

Through the uncertainties of 2020, Idlewild have united in their passion for live music performance, improvisation, and of course The Allman Brothers Band. The band aims to deliver faithful renditions of ABB songs spanning their 45 year career, while maintaining artistic control, not replicating live performances note-for-note.

Idlewild: A Celebration Of The Allman Brothers Band is now available for booking and look forward to bringing the show to Allman fans old and new!
