Foreside Funk is an energetic 10-pc funk/jazz/fusion band based in Kittery, ME, and Durham, NH, with a growing following around the Seacoast area of New England. The band features a funky horn section, an energetic rhythm, and percussion underlying the smoky, funky, and bluesy vocals. Our repertoire features fresh arrangements of funk/jazz/fusion/ R&B music of the 70s and the music of contemporary artists. We play music by Maceo Parker, James Brown, Average White Band, Tower of Power, Freddie Hubbard, Groover Washington, Ray Charles, Bernard Purdie, Roy Hargrove, Walter Wolfman Washington, and many more.
