The Grant Lot Summer Outdoor Concert Series is a weekly Friday night concert in the lot behind the Grant Building on Centre street in Bath, ME. A variety of contemporary folk, indie, rock, country, pop, and jazz performers will take the stage for an all-ages show. The lot is accessible via Water street. In the event of rain, concerts will be held inside the Grant Building.
El Malo is a musical collective specializing in the sounds of Latin dance music blended with jazz, hiphop, funk, soul, and progressive rock influences.
With fresh sounding tributes to classic Latin artists and energetic original material courtesy of a lineup featuring drum kit/Latin percussion, electric guitar, bass, vocals and horns, we bring the party to any event.
On El Malo's first (self titled) release, a low-fi Latin Jazz session recorded live in Brunswick, Maine; the Portland Phoenix published a complementary review, calling the release, in part "a piece of genuinely different music-making with Latin and gypsy flavors you won't find often in Portland."
