Aliento Chamber Players presents both Brahms Sextets. These full, rich chamber works make a delightful program, starting with the first sextet written in the shadow of the great Beethoven, and the more mature and enigmatic second sextet written in the blush of true love, with the notes "Agahe" woven into it to represent the only woman to whom Brahms was ever betrothed, Agathe von Siebold.
Full immersion into these iconic sextets is rare for chamber musicians, and pandemic isolation made it possible to bring these the attention and love they so deserve. Join Aliento Chamber Players in their Tenth Season at the John Paul Jones Memorial Park as part of The Dance Hall, Kittery's Concerts by the Bridge.
Life without music is unthinkable. Life without music is academic. That is why my contact with music is a total embrace.
