A native Midwesterner, R. Cary Einhaus earned an M.A. from Middlebury’s Bread Loaf School of English, and has served on the faculty at Phillips Exeter for the past twenty-four years. Much of his professional career centers on writing: coaching student writers as both a college counselor and a part-time English teacher, as well as composing college recommendation letters for Exeter seniors. Cary’s first personal essay was published in Exeter’s A Book of Meditations, Volume 2; other essays can be found at his website www.rcaryeinhaus.com. The Centurion’s Boy is Cary’s first novel.
