Come join us for an evening of poetry in the Word Barn Meadow!


Tickets are donation-based ($5/person suggestion), with registration required due to Covid-capacity limitations.


Jennifer Militello is the author, most recently, of the poetry collection The Pact (Tupelo Press/Shearsman Books, 2021), and the memoir Knock Wood, winner of the Dzanc Nonfiction Prize (Dzanc Books, 2019), as well as four additional collections of poetry including A Camouflage of Specimens and Garments (Tupelo Press, 2016), called “positively bewitching” by Publishers Weekly, and Body Thesaurus (Tupelo Press, 2013), named one of the top books of 2013 by Best American Poetry. Her work has appeared in American Poetry ReviewBest American Poetry, Best New Poets, The NationThe New RepublicThe Paris ReviewPOETRY, and Tin House. She teaches in the MFA program at New England College. 


Matt W. Miller was born and raised in Lowell, MA. He is the author of Tender the River (Texas Review Press), The Wounded for the Water (Salmon Poetry), Club Icarus (University of Noth Texas Press), selected by Major Jackson as the 2012 Vassar Miller Poetry Prize winner, and Cameo Diner: Poems (Loom). He has published work previously in Slate, Harvard Review, and many other journals. He was the recipient of several awards, including the 2019 Nimrod International Review’s Pablo Neruda Prize, the 2015 River Styx Micro-Beer, Micro Fiction Prize, and Iron Horse Review’s 2015 Trifecta Poetry Prisze. He has been awarded a Wallace Stegner Fellowship in poetry and a Walter E. Dakin Fellowship in Poetry from Sewanee Writers’ Conference. Miller has taught creative writing and literature at Stanford University, UMASS Lowell, New England College, Harvard Extension and the Concord State Prison for Men. He lives in NH with his family and teaches and coaches football at Phillips Exeter Academy where he also co-directs the Writers’ Workshop at Exeter.
