The Kittery Community Center (KCC) is excited to announce the launch of the "Easy Like Sunday Mornings" Jazz Brunch Series. The monthly series will take place in the STAR Theatre at the KCC and will feature local jazz talents alongside delicious brunch menus provided by talented local chefs and restaurants.
May 11 features Hunter McKay and Emily Dunbar
They have been performing together for almost a decade in a wide variety of settings across the northeast and beyond. Both native Mainers, they met studying music at the University of Southern Maine and their musical connection blossomed into a years long relationship culminating in their engagement last year. Emily, an adept multi-instrumentalist, can be seen performing in diverse settings from orchestral to pop trumpet; or from Western classical piano to Indian classical tabla. Hunter and Emily moved to Boston for Hunter to pursue his doctorate in jazz composition at New England Conservatory of Music. His experience as a composer/arranger enables the duo to bring a laid-back and subtle inflection to a wide variety of classic repertory from the 1920s to present.
The cost of $20 includes both the brunch and performance.
