A Band Beyond Description (BBD) hails from Portland, and has been a fixture in the Maine Music scene since 2000.

They are all very seasoned musicians with colorful backgrounds, who also happen share a big love for the Grateful Dead's music and spirit.Their individual professional experiences have brought them to the stage with such luminaries as: Gregg Allman - Allman Bros Warren Haynes - Gov’t Mule/Allman Bros John Popper - Blues Traveler Chris Barron - Spin Doctors Tom Constanten - Grateful Dead Vince Welnick - Grateful Dead Russ Lawton and Ray Paczkowski - Soule Monde, and the Trey Anastasio Band Glen Da Costa - Bob Marley and the Wailers, Jonathan Edwards Guster and Ray LaMontagne.
